All Roads Lead To The Runway: Introducing The Michael Kors Spring 2018 Runway Show Experience

News | 11 September 2017

In an increasingly global world, connecting with the brand’s fan base from an international platform has never been more important to Michael Kors. So this season, the designer’s Spring 2018 runway show presentation will be livestreamed direct from NYC to be shared with his international audience.

The show will take place at 10 AM ET on Wednesday, September 13th.

Fashion is more global than ever before, and so are my customers,” says Michael Kors. “I love the idea of being able to share that front-row experience with people around the world, no matter who they are or where they live.”

Other features designed to amplify the Fashion Week experience for customers include:

Shoppable Street Style: Michael Kors and Instagram have teamed up for a second Shoppable Street Style collaboration, working with some of the house’s favorite fashion influencers. Fans from around the world will be able to shop the Fall 2017 looks worn to the show by Aimee Song, Veronika Heilbrunner, Camila Coelho and Chriselle Lim directly from Instagram. Following the show, customers in the US, Canada and Europe can also see the looks and shop them on michaelkors.com.

Kors Commute: Following the success of last season’s mini-series, “Kors Commute” makes its return as the Spring 2018 pre-show experience, featuring Michael in a limo with various industry insiders as he preps for New York Fashion Week. This season’s series will star models Carolyn Murphy and Andreea Diaconu and InStyle editor-in-chief Laura Brown talking all things fashion and featuring a special “What’s in my Bancroft bag” highlight. The series begins on September 10 on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Behind-The-Scenes and Front Row Stories: Follow “MichaelKors” on Instagram Stories to get a glimpse at the backstage happenings, chat with top models, and share in the always-high pre-show energy. Followers will also receive a front-row view of the show courtesy of Aimee Song, who will be taking over the Michael Kors Snapchat for the day. In addition, guests can snap with a Michael Kors NYFW Geofilter.

Following the livestream, additional editorial reportage from the designer’s own perspective will be added to MichaelKors.com/DestinationKors throughout the day and remainder of the week.
