Michael Kors to Release Spring 2016 Ad Campaign

Earthy elegance is the theme of the Michael Kors Collection Spring 2016 advertising campaign, shot by Mario Testino. “I was thinking about optimistic blue skies and the American West, and about women who are strong and sexy at the same time,” says Michael Kors. “This collection balances a romantic softness with relaxed menswear tailoring in a way that’s naturally glamorous.”

To capture that feeling of natural glamour and continue the narrative introduced in Fall 2015—an elegant woman in a classic car on her way to a fabulous destination—Mario Testino photographed model Vanessa Moody lounging in the back of a vintage convertible. Her hair is undone, her clothes are luxurious and her reclined poses channel a relaxed, carefree journey. The images convey the modern, laid-back mood of the Michael Kors Collection.

The MICHAEL Michael Kors campaign features two new faces this season—Aneta Pajak and Grace Hartzel. The campaign is set in Los Angeles, California, where two friends are enjoying a sun-kissed afternoon. Shot by Mario Testino in a loose, casual style, the photographs candidly capture intimate moments between girlfriends taking a sunny day drive through iconic Beverly Hills with the majestic palm trees swaying in the background.

The global campaign will debut in February issues, with ads running in publications including US Vogue, Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar. In total, the Spring print advertising campaign will reach 39 countries across the Americas, Europe and Asia. The images will also appear in digital outlets, as well as social media platforms and traditional outdoor media placement.
