In 1860, Louis-Ulysse Chopard, a young talented craftsman, founded the Chopard workshop. In the 1960s, Paul-Andre Chopard son of the founder, sold the company to Karl Scheufele, heir to a dynasty of watch makers and jewellers based in Pforzheim, Germany. Under the successful guidance of Karl Scheufele, Chopard flourished in the luxury world of jewellery and watchmaking, till today.
