Michael Kors is pleased to announce the opening of a flagship store in Mandarin Gallery in Singapore this summer. It will be the brand’s largest store in Southeast Asia.

“I’m thrilled to be opening a flagship in Singapore for so many reasons,” says Michael Kors. “First, it’s our largest store in Southeast Asia. Second, it’s located in one of the most iconic shopping destinations in the region. And third, we’re introducing our men’s collection there, something I look forward to sharing with our customers in the region.”

And third, we’re introducing our men’s collection there, something I look forward to sharing with our customers in the region.”

The store, which measures approximately 6,957 square feet, will feature a shimmering façade inspired by Michael Kors’ signature use of metallics and texture. The façade, one of the brand’s defining architectural elements, consists of luminous screens made of light-reflective facets set within a grid of internally lit recesses. In addition, a large-scale video screen will cover the balance of the first-and second-story exterior, creating an effect that is at once elegant and kinetic.

On the ground floor, curated displays of accessories, including handbags and small leather goods from the Michael Kors Collection and MICHAEL Michael Kors labels, will be featured along with watches, jewelry, eyewear and a selection of the brand’s fragrances. A series of exclusive rooms will showcase women’s ready-to-wear from the MICHAEL Michael Kors label. Here shoppers can browse, try on clothes and consult with the store’s personal stylists in an ambience of calm and complete indulgence. A grand shoe salon offering a great selection of footwear will complete the luxe fashion experience.

The ground floor interior will feature dark wood floors, shelves of brushed stainless steel, Venetian wallpaper and Calacatta marble fixtures. A pale, weathered limestone “runway” will lead from the entrance through the main axis of the store. The palette of soft browns and grays, mixed with warm woods, textural finishes and luxe materials, reflects the label’s glamorous and refined sensibility.

The upper level will be dedicated to menswear and men’s accessories, making the Mandarin Gallery flagship the first freestanding Michael Kors store in Southeast Asia to offer menswear. The men’s shop will feature flooring in gray oak, gray-embossed leather wall coverings, custom-built, polished and blackened stainless steel fixtures with gray smoked mirrors and gray marble display cases.
