Account Executive – GL
Summary
This position requires the individual to perform a variety of moderately complex accounting activities related to the payment and receipt of money. He/she is responsible for general accounting function – to compute, classify and record numerical data into the company’s accounting system. He/she will also be responsible to maintain good relationship with internal & external parties to achieve department efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for timely and correct data entry into accounting system. Maintain journal entries, account allocation for invoices & official receipts.
- Fully responsible on recognize and define problems in the reported data; maintains and reconciles accounting data that is having discrepancies; research questionable entries and initiates corrective measures; resolves out-of-balance conditions.
- Assist in closing of monthly accounts in a timely manner and ensure all transactions are captured correctly and accurately with error free.
- Responsible to prepare monthly bank reconciliation and reconciles inter-company accounts balances.
- Compiles various documents, verifies their accuracy, and ensure all accounting transactions are fully supported by relevant documents.
- Assists in preparing audit schedules for external and internal auditors.
- Maintain balance sheet schedule which may include, but are not limited to Fixed Assets Schedule, Accrual Schedule, Pre-payment Schedule & Deposit Schedule.
- Applies a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verifies documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies.
Qualification:
Possess a Diploma/Degree in Accounting or equivalent coupled with a minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting.
