To celebrate the recent grand opening of its first northern region flagship store at Penang’s Gurney Paragon Mall, Tumi handpicked several local artists, designers and organisations to bring to life the brand’s principles. In looking to incorporate more artistic inspiration into  tough ballistic nylon material, six local stars — textile designer Rebecca Duckett, TV host and author Sasha Bashir, celebrity photographer Kid Chan, singer-songwriter Amanda Imani and Wanita Wawasan Malaysia magazine together with Imaan, a local custom-made statement necklace brand — were asked to create a piece inspired by Tumi, by working with materials from ballistic nylon to its Alpha lightweight fabric.
