The mood is light, weightless, sensual and joyful. Fabrics are sun faded, rinsed and worn in, mixing the precious and the simple. Lace guipures with ribbed cotton jersey, billowy silk charmeuses, Habotai silks. Floating and flying. Colors are also faded by the sun to apricot, shell white, blush, sand, pale yellow, faded lime and mint, dusk blue and lavender. Finally blooming into a print of roses and peonies reworked from an original hand painted 1977 artwork.
There is a spontaneous joy to this collection, a liberating expression of total freedom.
