Designed with attention to detail, the boutique created a refined environment that harmoniously blended the brand’s heritage with modern design. Guests were invited to explore an exclusive selection of Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces and discover the artistry behind each creation, such as the Reverso and Rendez-Vous collections.
Within the boutique, elements reflecting the natural beauty of the Vallée de Joux were evident through the use of organic materials, soft natural colors, and carpet patterns inspired by trees, stones, and minerals. The overall atmosphere felt light, inviting, and warm, encouraging visitors to not only uncover Jaeger-LeCoultre’s watches but also to delve into the broader universe of La Grande Maison. The decor also featured subtle references to Art Deco, a design style that held special significance for Jaeger-LeCoultre as it marked the design origin of the Reverso.
The local landscape can be seen in the details of the interior design; as tropical foliage and modernity combine in the four walls and fixtures. The signature feature wall is customed with straw marquetry, evoking the movement of four panthers roaming amongst vegetation.
Inspired by the Straits Chinese and Peranakan heritage, the boutique incorporates the use of auspicious colours that bring longevity, wealth, and prosperity. The textured copper-coloured walls of Peranakan textiles blend with Cartier’s signature champagne tone, which also has a pea-green hue. Across all corners of the space, the legendary creature’s shell-like scales of the Merlion are featured on the marble floors.
Located in one of Asia’s most vibrant leisure destinations, the boutique was perfectly positioned to provide visitors with a luxurious retail experience. It featured bespoke interiors, elegant design elements, and exclusive timepieces that reinforced Jaeger Le-Coultre’s status among the world’s leading luxury watch brands.
In conjunction with the redesigned boutique, an intimate dinner was hosted at Sugarra, helmed by Michelin-starred Chef Aitor Jeronimo Orive and Chef Aitor Gonzalez, where esteemed guests were specially invited to celebrate the occasion together. The evening featured exquisite cuisine and an elegant ambiance, providing the perfect backdrop to showcase the heritage and craftsmanship behind these iconic timepieces.
